When we started to manufacture Big Bloomers knickers in sizes 7XL and 8XL (sizes 44/46 and 48/50) our aim was to provide good quality, comfortably fitting knickers to women who had no other choice than to try and squeeze their ample behinds into flimsy size 6XL panties  - which, as far as we have ever been able to ascertain, was the biggest size available anywhere in the UK.  We made our 7XL and 8XL panties  well fitting, comfortable and generously ample and we made them pretty with lace elastic at the waist and legs...... and of course, within a very short while, we were asked to make these panties without the elastic, which, pretty though it is, causes an allergic reaction with some wearers.
